Geography

Our aim at St. Joseph’s is to encourage pupils to develop an appreciation and understanding of the world. They will make connections between areas of learning with the aim of developing engaged, motivated and curious learners. It is our intention to immerse pupils in the cultures, landscapes and diverse nature of our home planet, both at a local and global level. As geographers, they will be encouraged to develop a passion for discovery, gaining the confidence to ask and explore enquiry questions, using a variety of sources and resources. Through our progressive geography curriculum, children will develop their skills, knowledge and vocabulary to become successful geographers.
